Hi there,
So here is my final newsletter for the year... time for a quick reflection on the past, and looking forward to the future.
Business has been very rewarding this year, financially and emotionally. I've experienced some major highs and lows this year personally. And no matter how much I achieve, nothing is more important than my family and my health.
A new 4-legged addition was added to my family. Through lots of nagging by my daughter we ended up with 'Casper' a Bischon Frise (white fluffball). We now have 2 pampered pets, Beasley (a 4 yr. old Bischon and King of the household) and his new brother.
Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on who you ask), Tia, my 24 yr. old is off to London to work for at least a year. Trent, my 15 year old baby (even though he's 6' tall) is thriving.
Trent played his first rugby league season this year. He'd also been nagging us for ages to play but we were concerned about the injury rate. However, there are times you have to let go and this year was the year. Fortunately with the right preparation and coaching by his dad (a former rugby league champion), it all paid off. Trent won 'the most improved player' for his team.
Trent works out regularly at the gym and is looking great. He's also working part-time at the local DVD shop and loving it. He'll be in Year 10 next year...doesn't time fly?
It's important to us that our kids are independant and earn their own money.
My husband Tama, has found this year to be his year of enlightenment and has gone all out with his personal development. He's attended many personal development programs with me and it has shown up in the way he lives his life.
He was so motivated and inspired that he lost his excess weight and got down to the size he was when he was a top rugby league player many years ago. He's really grown and blossomed. Must be something about the age... he'll be 53 soon.
No matter what happens in your business, your personal life has a major impact on the results you achieve.
When things are going well personally, you're able to focus and get things done. When they're down you'll drag yourself around. Most things become an effort and your motivation and zest for business and life in general takes a dive. It happened to me this year, and it took me many weeks to get back on track.
So as you review this year, both the positive and negative, look at what worked in your business and your life and what didn't. Obviously keep doing what works and of course, you can always finetune. Avoid getting too comfortable as life can change instantly. It pays to be proactive so you're prepared for change.
The Final Word
Christmas is an unusual time when families and friends get together because it is like an enforced period of time when you bother to make an effort. At Christmas you're expected to catch up with people.
For many of you, investing time in your relationships is something you probably don't do as much because you get 'too busy' and lose sight on just how important this area of your life really is... until something comes up that forces you to take action.
If areas of your life and business didn't give you the results you were looking for, then make sure in the coming year that you resolve to change them and not ignore them.
Have a great Christmas

Our Clients Say...
'I needed to focus on what really matters'
“I initially underwent coaching to help me focus on what really matters to me. There was so much unrealised potential in my business but I was too busy working ‘in' the business to proactively do anything about it.
Ultimately I wanted a better balance between work and my personal life.
The greatest benefit from coaching is seeing my goals progress from vague hopes to clearly defined tasks and achievements. It has got me out of my rut and moving forward.”
