Hi there,
This is it. The end of another year. How's 2005 been for you? Can you look back and feel satisfied with what you've achieved?
I know for myself, it's been an interesting year both personally and professionally. I find that as I get older (I’m hitting 49 next month), I’m just getting better and better. I love the fact that I’m getting wiser…also working much more smarter. Pity I didn’t have all that wisdom years ago, but like most things in life, it takes time.
Sure I’ve had my ups and downs…the biggest one was when my husband had a major accident on a building site in June and sliced his thigh muscle nearly to the bone! That was a stressful time. He was off work for three months. However he came through the whole process extremely well due to many different factors…the biggest one was his positive attitude (and of course being married to me, we had everything well-organised to accelerate his recovery…from natural therapy to physiotherapy).
Our 13 year old son Trent started Secondary School this year. He also experienced his first job. It taught him a lot of lessons including that money definitely does not grow on trees and you do have to put in effort to get a result.
Tia, our 22 year old who’s a flight attendant, went on her first overseas holiday (by herself) to Thailand for 2 weeks. I am so grateful for mobile phones. If you’re a parent who’s had this experience you’ll know exactly how I felt. Apart from my sleepless nights, she had a great time! I felt I needed a holiday when she came home.
We’ve had our puppy, Beasley for a year now! Can remember the tiny ball of white fluff we first brought home. We could pick him up with one hand. Today you can barely hold him.
Our health is great. Regardless of my husband’s accident, we’ve invested more time and money into our health this year than at any other time of our lives…not because we’ve been unwell but because we want to stay well and of course keep our youthful looks!
As for business, it’s been great. All the investment of time and money to learn how to be better as a person and run my business effectively and profitably definitely has paid off.
Thank You
